I love the Tarran Times books. Obsolete is an interesting story. Olena is a Tarran with a talent for repurposing old junk. She ends up on a space station that specializes in salvage. While she is talented and good at her job there is little rom for advancement, since she is an alien. She salvages a fromer Avatar, who is part Admarym. A fun, fast read. Reminds me a littl of Fixer's story, (Sector Guard book 1). I think Olena and Mala would work well together.Product details

Obsolete is Viola Grace's 24th book in her Terran Times series. The cover is awesome but all of Viola's book covers are awesome! In Obsolete, Terran Olena has to deal with a society that isn't fond of women salvagers and men with god like complexes ;-). I liked Olena's back story....the details of the body suit kind of creepy but imaginative...and I especially liked the hero, emerald green with leopard spots!
As always wish it was longer. Would really like the author to do some more novel length stories.
You have never disappointed me with your emotionally impacted story line. Great job! I always look forward to the next great adventure you will take me on.
Being able to make something new and useful out of scrap metal is a spunky Terran trait. Good reading and interesting concept.
I been reading Viola Grace's books for awhile now. It has always been an adventure to revisit the terrans, the planet avatars, the citadel and the myriad of talents that exists in this ever growing world. Lately, I have wondered if she was going to take a slightly route than usual in her story-telling. This book was a nice surprise. Olena just wanted to get away from a personal tragedy and find a place to belong where she can indulge in her art/talent. She finds her place and discovers a new life for herself with an individual who needed her just as badly.
Her talent was recycling junk into tech. She salvages a sleeping avitar from a wreck and had been waiting for her. The Terran Times covered the library opening.
In many of Viola Grace's short love stories, I just adore the heroine. This is the case here. I love her Tomboy self. I love how good she is at what she does and how much she loves it. I love how she adapts to everything.
The other fun of this book is the story of the world that has to find a new place to be and a new person to inhabit. It is very moving.
The hero and the romance are ho hum but I enjoyed the book overall.
