Love to read a good mystery and especially one with good old southern humor. I hope it will come out in paperback, this is a keeper for my bookshelf.
There is no better summer fun than having a good book and some time to enjoy it. This is a good book! And you will find yourself making time to enjoy it. Lots of mystery and loads of Southern fun. You won't be sorry you bought it....just sorry when it's finished. I look forward to the next!
I loved this book. Had me hooked from the beginning. I was only going to read a few chapters, but after each chapter and with the body count rising, I just had to read the next chapter and on and on. I ended up staying up all night and reading the whole book. {I immediately went on to see if there was another book in the series....YAY there was...thank you Sharon Buck} The "down home" southern characters in the book were hilarious {felt like I'd met each one before}. Parker had me laughing from the very first page. The pace of the storyline kept me "on my toes" trying to figure out whodunit....or whoalldunit. I'm usually pretty good at spotting the "bad guys" and toward the end I was feeling proud of myself, thinking I'd figured who they were but nope.....I was so wrong.
Great read....being from the area, I could relate to the landmarks and story line. Loved the sense of humor in Parker!
I loved this book. The antics of all the characters, who are larger than life in many cases, made me laugh out loud on several occasions. I thoroughly enjoyed the synopsis of typical ‘small town’ mentality woven into a much bigger plot. Fast moving and funny. More please Sharon E Buck!
This book is an excellent read! It's typical small town life in full color. The characters were humorous and the plot was fast moving and entertaining. When reading, I could relate many of the characters to someone typical in my hometown. This was a wonderfully written novel. It left me wanting to read another installment of Parker Bell's life.
