Ageless Sea The Ageless Series Book 1 eBook MR Polish

The world/worlds built in the story is well created and has been thought it quite a bit. While Karis is a little too insecure and shy for someone who is supposed to have great power and become Queen of the realms however the fact that she was deserted on an island for almost a century explains some of it so it's believable if a little annoying. The connection between her and Brady seemed a little fat but it's a sweet love that seems to be based on trust and an inner connection which is later explained. I did feel that Karis relies on him too much for her power and her success with it to make her truly a character with agency but I get the feeling this is left in purpose so that there's room for character growth in the books that follow. The only thing that seemed off was the jumping from bad guy to bad guy so that it seemed like there wasn't a true villain, ad though the stakes are not as high as we are told. The main villain's monologue seemed trite as though they weren't really reasons so that invalidated his supposed evil. The supposed anguish and strife of the oppressed people's is told more often than down so again the stakes were not as high. I also felt like the potential of the powers and fantasy of the characters and the realms should have been expounded more on to create the presence of these actually existing and creating the feeling of being able to travel there. Some of the transitions in settings, especially the pace at which all the action and such occurred, made it feel like I was blind and waiting for someone to catch me up.
Overall, this was a good introduction to a new world that has a lot of wonderful ideas mixed in there and just needs a little more organization of pace and of the interesting ideas being played out.

Ageless Sea The Ageless Series Book 1 eBook MR Polish Reviews

Karis she's a one tough cookie, "I, for one, am hungry. You can go on and look for it. I'll point you the way, but I am eating before I go traipsing around the island with you." Brady he can be an a** at times but at least he's an honest one, "look, I get close to you and feel this...this strange attraction. Obviously you don't share the same feeling, so I need to find a way to get away. I need to go home. I have fights waiting for me. I could have any girl back in the states, why would I waste my time here." When they're happy and together they're playful and I liked that, "hey, you best control those thoughts, woman. You'll make me weak before the sun has a chance to rise." I wouldn't mind a follow up story I really did love Brady and Karis's.
Kairis is a princess and a beloved member of her world until . . . Framed her and sent her to . . . For eternity.

Brady is a different story, he's raised on earth culture and finds out he's . . .

Now that they are through together, they have a attraction to each other and then kairis's fiancee appears after . . .

But the worlds are changed and no one is save!!

Will they have their happy ending or will they be killed after . . .???
Enjoy!!! 😇
A wonderful mermaid twist! Many dimensions, different planets, a good dose of various magics, and a love story too keeps you turning the pages. You see crowns fall and friends betrayed. When the chips are truly down, our heroine discovers who her true friends are, just like in real life.
I just bought the next book - I must see how this adventure continues!
After reading several of her books, M.R. Polish won me over with her writing style as well as her captivating characters. I love the whole idea of this story! I especially adore this cover!! In this tale we are escorted on an adventure to far away lands and down into the depths of the sea where we meet magical beings, syrenae (mermaids/mermen), & royalty alike.
I really like the characters although I feel like they did not shine to their full potentials at times causing me to sort of disconnect. For the most part the story flowed terrifically, & the more I read the more they gelled. I'm looking forward to reading more about the queen to be & her followers very soon!
Aliens, Mermaids/men, and even some Greek Gods. This was an ambitious World Building, and the various species were interesting. Romance was light, nothing very explicit.

This book read like a YA. Not that I don't enjoy YA novels, but this one could have been much more. If the Hero wasn't such a pain for the first part I would have liked him more--he didn't act like a Hero until they Blood Bonded or some such--which seemed like kind of a cop-out. The Heroine was a little wimpy--the transition from Pampered Banished Princess to Kick-butt Fighter was too abrupt. If the Greek Gods had been introduced earlier in the story (it showed a lot of potential in the storyline), I would have been more involved in the plot.

The ending wasn't really an ending, since so much is unresolved. I am curious enough, however, that I may pick up the second book to see where things go. Overall it's a decent read, and it has potential.
Karis is an immortal princess from another dimension where everyone has amazing powers. She is banished to an island on Earth after she is framed for a crime. On this island, after several decades, she meets Brady. Brady thinks he is just an underground fighter, but he’s actually another immortal being from the same dimension as Karis. When they find their way back home, they become embroiled in a battle to reclaim Karis’ throne (oh yeah, she’s a princess) and begin discovering all their amazing powers (as well as receive gifts of still more powers). This actually made the book pretty dull. They spend so much time talking about their powers and practicing their powers that the actual plot of the book becomes more of an after-thought. And the fact that they seem to be the best at everything robs the book of tension. The romance between Karis and Brady feels tepid – I never really believed their feelings for each other were genuine. Readers never develop enough of a connection to their homeworld to really care who ends up running things – which is a good thing, as the book ends abruptly without providing resolution.
